About Me

Hi! My name is Sydney.  I'm 29 years old and I am a mother, artist, and birth doula based in Columbus, Ohio.   I am a strong believer in community and all of the wonders it can bring into our lives.  I try to live sustainably (this is a challenge with two kids, I'll admit) because I worry a great deal about our planet every day.  I love surprises and fun facts. :)

I work with just about any medium I can get my hands on in my art, I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, but I began to take it more seriousy right before COVID 19.  I started block printing in 2022 and my process is ever-evolving.  I began dying and printing children's clothing for my son at first, then my nieces and nephews and then I finally started bringing my pieces to local art markets that I was already participating in to see if they would sell.  I was afraid that the people that came to the markets weren't exactly my target demographic, but I was wrong!  It turns out almost everbody knows a baby or toddler and the onesie and tees were selling!

While all of this was happening, my son was growing older and demanding more and more of my attention, then in 2024 I got pregnant with our second boy!  They aren't kidding, motherhood is a full-time job -- and more challenging than any other job I've had at times.  All of this to say, I became very busy and had less time to dedicate to all of the work and planning around attending the markets.  Also, most of these markets are outdoors and Columbus isn't known for having great weather, market season is about half of the year.  so here I am, selling my art online for you to enjoy!

I also love decorating, I'd call my style maximalist and fun with an emphasis on functionality.  I put that into my art in a lot of ways;  I want my customers to feel something special when they see an everyday item like a dish towel or onesie I've made... I want to sprinkle joy into people's lives.
